I offer you this book because I would like to share with you one of the most wonderful and worthwhile experiences of my life: my little boy, Daniel.

I began writing shortly after we discovered his condition, initially because I felt it would allow me to get out of my system the many things I was feeling. Then, as my pregnancy progressed, I started to believe that it could be something more—something that would help others who receive this type of diagnosis, and face the same seemingly impossible decisions we faced.

Daniel's book is a strictly not-for-profit project that aims to raise awareness of trisomy 13 and similar disorders, and increase understanding and support for parents facing a difficult prenatal diagnosis. I would be grateful if you could share Daniel’s story with others, and in doing so, help them to realise that all of our children are gifts to be treasured, no matter what type of package they come in.

The first 100 hard copies were distributed free of charge as 'pass-it-on' books. Subsequent copies will be sold for cost of printing & transport + postage.
